 | Andi Lamb Code Enforcement Officer Andi was hired in June 2009 to be the Code Enforcement Officer. Her primary duties involve patroling for water violations, weed violations and abandoned vehicles.
She is also cross trained to help with the animal calls and shelter duties as needed. Andi's help is greatly appreciated. Her knowledge from working in a veterinary clinic comes in quite handy. |
 | Teri Smith Community Service Officer Teri has been the Community Service Officer since November 1989. During her time with the city, she was able to raise 1/2 of the monies needed to build new kennels in 1997. This was a major improvement over the existing facility. Allowing more separation of the animals, indoor/outdoor runs and hot and cold water. After receiving money from an estate she was able to add an office/storage area to be able to hold conversations with people away from the noise of the dogs and out of the elements. With the addition of the office building, she was able to enclose a small area for the dogs to be outside and get a little more exercise than what the kennel allows. |
 | Volunteers
For many years the officers have not been required to take care of the animals when Teri is on days off or vacation because of the many volunteers that have stepped up to help.
Jane Denning has been taking photos and keeping www.petfinder.com up to date with the dogs we have available for adoption for several years. Without her help we would not be able to keep our posting current.
Tracy Coffelt spends her time cleaning, feeding and spending time with dogs. Tracy has fostered many dogs over the years. Tracy's son Caden also helps when his busy schedule allows.
Judith Maier also cleans and feeds. Judith spends time working with the dogs and leash training.
Margaret Clarke began by coming down once or twice a week to take dogs for walks. It eventually turned into her cleaning and feeding once a week, but coming back other times to walk and work with the dogs. Margaret teaches obedience classes in her spare time and her assistance has helped to make our dogs more adoptable.
Liz Stovall has begun volunteering on Tuesdays. She has dogs of her own and felt this was a way to share her time and give back. | |
